...and then there were five.

This picture is misleading, she is totally not terrified of me.

This is more fuuuuuuu- than hooraykitten, 'cause man, I don't need no more cats. But I wasn't gonna leave this sweet face out to get run over or starve either (car dealership on a 50mph road = lots of roadkillkitties around). These post-bath pictures don't do her justice, she's a beauty queen in person – mix of tabby and tortoiseshell.

She showed up last night at the dealership I work at last night after I went home and spent a few hours patrolling the new car showroom and howling her head off. She was there again today and spent the morning mewing and tapping at my window and trying to be friends with everybody that walked by. I took her to my car on my lunch and she ate so voraciously, like she hadn't had anything in a week. All shaking and purring. She's a little bone, with burrs all stuck in her belly fur. I left her in my car with a window rolled down and a blanket covering her. She cozied up and slept all day long under the blanket, poor darlin'.

She slept curled up in a ball half the car ride home and spent the other half sitting in my lap purring loudly. She was wearing a pink collar (no tags), so I'm putting up a Found Cat ad and she'll see the vet this weekend, get spayed if she isn't already.

One of my favorite salesmen (he's a huge animal-lover and a ballroom dancer!) was falling in love with her this afternoon, so with his wife's permission he might adopt her. I'm crossing my fingers!

She really is gorgeous and reminds me a little of my boy Prabhu.
I'm so happy you were there for her to make her feel loved, and I'm happier she may be getting a permanent home soon.
Thank you for doing this.

When I was uploading these pictures I was thinking "This lady totally looks like [info]satya's kitty!" :)
It'd be so wonderful if my co-worker takes her home. He's one of the few people I'd feel completely confident handing an animal over to; just a very gentle soul.

She is so gorgeous! I'm so glad you found her, whenever I see cats around busy roads it makes me so nervous. Keep us updated!

The salesmen told me this horrible story about this ol' tomcat Rambo that lived outside the dealership (he brought them lots of dead birds). Everyone pooled together their money to get Rambo neutered and vaxed and the day he came back after his neuter recovery he got hit by a car and killed. I was like "Oh no, this little gal cannot be Rambo II."

She's beautiful! My parents/us had a cat very similar to her, her name was translated as "happiness" (Onni) :)

She does not look like scared of you. More like frightened by something else and you are her safe spot :)

Yippee! It always makes me happy when cats are saved from living outside where they are cold and don't get enough food.

:) I'm happy to have her. She's been a little scavenger too, diggin' in my trash can. Wonder if that means she's been a stray for awhile?
